Spencer Baker

was born in Fremont, California and raised in the Northwest. At a very young age, Spencer trusted Christ as his Savior and was called to ministry while in Jr. High. He attended Treasure Valley Baptist Bible Institute after high school and headed up the bus ministry there. In the summer of 1996 he met his wife Sarah and they were married two years later. In 2001 the Bakers moved to North Dakota where Spencer had the privilege of serving  as pastor at the Open Door Baptist Church. After 12 years, Spencer and Sarah received the call to start a church on the Big Island of Hawaii. In January of 2015 it became a reality and the Big Island Baptist Church in Kailua Kona was started. They have 5 children.
